Faces of Krakow

Once when I was in Krakow, I was two minutes late for a night bus. The next one was supposed to come in an hour. I was so frustrated and lost for a moment, I didn't know what to do. I was so tired after watching Street Theater Festival, and I had to walk for 40 minutes more...
But I wasn't alone in that position. One couple was also late for a bus, we started talking and walking in the direction to our homes (we lived on the same street). Later they took me to their taxi and brought me home. It is definitely the most memorable day in Krakow for me.

Letter from the past

I took some notes after my crazy Kyiv-Lutsk-Warsaw-Berlin-Vienna trip, which I did in 5-6 days exactly a year ago. They were lost and accidentally found today (I can sense a metaphor). These are just random thoughts I would like to share with you...
"When you happen to be in Warsaw, Berlin and Vienna on the same day you start losing your timeframe. It's weird that nothing felt like a new place to me...
Everything was familiar, even though there was nothing of 'mine' around (not sure concept exists at all). I felt like an invisible man, a total stranger, an observer, that can be in different places at the same time unnoticed by others.
I felt more of a journalist than of a traveler. In the course of last two days I've heard more of negative than positive things about the city. That is why I had quite critical attitude to it."

What's new?

This post is more about what I'm up to now and what my life has been during last 2 weeks.
So... the most exciting news is that I've entered the university, where I'm going to study
english and german translation. I'm moving to Kyiv, which the capital of Ukraine, in 4 days.
That's sad and exciting and happy and worrying at the same time.
Whatever you have planned for the summer, the last couple days are the best anyway.
That's what I'm going through rigth now. We have such  an amazing time with friends and church,
chilling with my family, just naps and morning jogs. Oh it feels so great and I'll have to leave it
here and start a new life soon. There're so many people I love here..But I belive that God will provide
and bless me with everything - He's my Father!
I'm also working on a cover photo of a music album - really excited about that.Hope to be able to share with you soon. And one of my pictures was recently printed as a book cover in Poland. Watch here .
Be blessed everyone, who is moving of going somwhere
these days!
And here're some photos from walks and picnics over the last few weeks.

7 on 7 February

Recently I came across 7 on 7  project - kind of challenge where 7 photographers take 7 shots on every 7th day of each month and upload them to their blog. What I liked about this project is that you link your blog post to another participant and this way you can discover more photographes and collaborate.
These photos were taken actually in October or November (still lazy to check out the exif data) , but in one day though. It was little portrait session in a park with my classmate, which I was thinking about for pretty long, just waiting for the right moment. The thing you might do not know about me is that before I discovered still life photography and fell in love with it I was mostly shooting portraits  :) Now I'm trying to get back on track. I wanted to make one portrait session just black and white, what I've never done before, and I finally did it so...enjoy :) And don't forget to check out Rowan !

Concert shooting

Recently I've been shooting concerts and events a lot, which is nice because I like journalistic photography a lot, you know that. But another sweet thing about this is that I was mostly shooting my good friends and great band '7th Step' and even went to another city for shooting their concert.  A great part of what inspires me I get watching musicians' vlogs on YouTube. All these tour-life-things and meeting with other musicians and collaborations are very exciting and I often think why photographers can't do the same things. It's all about art and aims, that unites people, isn't it? That's what I want my vlog to be about, in the nearest future.

October Kyiv trip

Last autumn I went to Kyiv (the capital of Ukraine - Wikipedia), to meet up with a friend and to have fun a little bit. I went all by myself and felt so good, like almost independent person :)When I came home I thought I hadn't taken any good shot, but 2 days ago I bumped into the folder with these shots and found some that I'd like to share. So here they are.
